2010 Championship Week Draw

The draw for the first round of the LEHL Championships, March 20th-27th at the Louisville Ice Palace in Louisville, KY was announced today. The Championships follow the Swiss system, where the #1 and #2 teams, #3 and #4, etc. play in each round.

7* Akron vs 6 Thunder Bay (12:00 EST)

3 Duluth-Superior vs 2 Northern Indiana (2:45 EST)

1 Indianapolis vs 5* Mahoning (5:30 EST)

8 Kentucky vs 4 Louisville (8:15 EST)

The most intriguing match-up is Duluth-Superior and Northern Indiana. One of these teams will start at an obvious disadvantage to the other. That said, by losing in the first round it is possible that this works in your favor, rather than against, as for the first couple rounds you play weaker teams.
